CeraVe Batch Code Checker

CeraVe Batch Code Format
CeraVe products often use short L'Oréal-style production codes. The code may be numeric, such as 11234, or alphanumeric, such as 54U400 or AU1234.
Examples: 54U400, 11U0AB, 11234, AU1234
Shelf Life: 36 months from the estimated manufacturing date when unopened.
About CeraVe Codes
CeraVe is widely used for daily barrier support: Hydrating Cleanser, Foaming Cleanser, Moisturizing Cream, PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion, SA Smoothing products, and mineral sunscreens. Because these formulas are often applied to sensitive or compromised skin, checking the manufacturing period is useful before using a backup jar, travel tube, or discounted multipack.
This checker estimates the production date from the short batch code. It does not replace the printed expiration date on sunscreens or medicated products.

Where to Find It
- On the crimped end of a cleanser or cream tube
- On the bottom of a tub, jar, pump bottle, or sunscreen bottle
- On the carton flap near the barcode, LOT, or EXP area
- Printed in ink or lightly embossed, often shorter than the long barcode
Do not enter the UPC/EAN barcode, the PAO open-jar symbol, or the product size such as 236 ml / 16 oz.
Tips for Checking CeraVe Batch Codes
Enter the short production code exactly as printed, and if you have both the box and the inner bottle or tube, compare them before relying on older stock or marketplace purchases. This can be especially helpful for bulk buys and pharmacy clearance items.
For barrier creams, cleansers, and sunscreens, texture and smell are good secondary checks. If a formula separates, smells unusual, or has been stored in a hot bathroom or car, treat it cautiously even if the batch code appears recent.
